On April 13, 2025, we gathered for one final celebration—our last Music City Coders Annual Day—marking the end of an incredible era that began in 2016. What started as a humble initiative to teach kids how to code has grown into a powerful, people-centered movement that empowered hundreds of young minds to become creators, problem-solvers, and leaders in technology.
Over these nine years, Music City Coders became more than just a club. It became a community where curiosity was nurtured, leadership was born, and friendships were formed through the shared language of code. Together, we built games, robots, apps—and most importantly, confidence. From scratch to Python, from micro:bits to AI, each line of code written was a step toward a brighter, more inclusive tech future.
This year’s Annual Day wasn’t just a celebration of projects—it was a celebration of progress. Students showcased their work, mentors shared their journeys, and alumni returned to inspire the next generation. And this time, there was something even more special: a passing of the torch.
We’re proud to share that the legacy of Music City Coders continues with the launch and growth of 615Coders.org—a youth-led initiative founded by our very own members. 615Coders carries forward our mission of empowering young learners with technical skills while building community, creativity, and confidence.
As we close this chapter, our hearts are full. Full of gratitude for the mentors who gave their time, the parents who supported the dream, and most of all, the students—who made it all worth it.
To everyone who has been a part of this journey: thank you.
Though Music City Coders may be signing off, our story continues—line by line, block by block, in every club, classroom, and codebase inspired by this mission.
With love and code,
The Music City Coders Team
